Baking soda and vinegar are a child's play toy. When I was younger I loved to mix the two together and watch them fizz. Once for a project in third grade I made a paper machete volcano and, in front of the class, poured vinegar and baking soda into it with a little red food coloring and everyone watched as the lava followed out. What about actually trying to do something with the gas that is released when the two are mixed together? How about power a boat?
